Walgreens this week
Well I have been looking everywhere for a deal that will save this week at Walgreens with out much luck. If your into Rebate I do have a couple of deals for you though. I posted all of this as a comment on the Weekly match up on Wiz Wags so I will just copy it here, I found it in several places to many to list so lets just say this is not my information and thanks to all of the Walgreens bloggers out there, all million of them.
Haven’t found a bunch except for a few rebates, if your into rebates.
The Colgate deal gas a $5.00 Rebate form in the 1/29 RP whic will make the deal a $5.00 MM after coupons and MIR.
The TruTest Meater has a Rebate which I’m sure is a Walgreens rebate for $14.99 which I believe will make it free.
The Clariol Just for Men also has a rebate for up to $9.50 here www.justformen.com/pdf/tryfree….
Rumblings of a Money Maker
There are some rumblings going on out on the web that the Renew Life Ultimte Flora will be a Money Maker. The way this deals usually goes is the product goes on sale for $10.00 with a $10.00 RR on it. If you click on the picture above you will find a $3.00/1 PDF coupon on the product, I would print it before it disappears which they do just before the sale happens. Thanks to KT for the heads up and to which ever blog she read it on.

A little help here, Okay
I have been looking into getting into the Rebate game at Walgreens and have in fact talked to a couple well informed people about it. But you all know me, if there is something I can put together as a post it will be, and here it is.
I have always stayed away from the rebates because of the time and uncertainly of the rebate being rejected 6-8 weeks after the fact, way to late to do anything about it. I have been looking into the Walgreens Rebate card and with the information I have received from a couple of my very knowledgeable advisers I may jump into the game soon. My reasons are two fold and the register reward game which I will not give up has a few restrictions I am looking to avoid. They are 1. the 14 day expiration date The Rebate Card does not carry and expiration date, therefore I should be able to overcome Walgreens habit of giving use a few weeks of deals and the slapping us with a couple weeks of drought on deals to bleed the Register Rewards out of us. Way to often we burn the rewards on stuff that we may not need, it could be useful but not needed. We do this rather than loose them. 2, he constant need for fillers. Hell one can only have so many pencils and bags. I normally try to make my fillers useful but when you only need to fill a couple of cents it is sometimes hard to find a useful product at that price. With the card instead of using a $2.00 RR to get my OOP down from $1.95 I could just take $1.95 off of the card without getting a filler and then pay $0.00 OOP.
The way I see it is that I would use Both Rewards programs, I’ll never give up my RRs, no way no how. but at the end of the week I would invest in my limits of rebate products paying with the RRs I have collected through out the week. It may take a few weeks before the funds become available on the rebate card but I think I can handle that. Once the funds are ready to use I then should be able to use the card in select instances and save myself the few dollars I do spend at Wags on a weekly basis. Not only that the card carries a 10% bonus and as Judy (one of my trusted advisers) put it “We all know what can be done with $0.40 at Walgreens.”
So I’m throwing this out to you all, There are a lot of people that come through here and only a very few ever stop to comment. Take the time this round and let me know your experiences and thoughts. I’m not sure if you all know that I get my information from people like you in the stores and on the street and I treasure your time and thoughts.
Thanks to Judy a long time follower and good friend of Stl Coupon Wizard for her input on this matter and to Gail which is a Walgreens associate at my Favorite Walgreens and soon to be owner of the entire chain I’m sure if I don’t find a way to buy it first, if only they took RRs on the purchase of the store.
Rolling RRs ?
Just gat back from Wags (who would have ever guessed) and I discovered that the Saint Joseph seems to rolling on themselves, it was by mistake but it worked out. Being the tightwad that I am I went to Wags to get Bread with a few of the RRs I have gathered over the last week, hell might as will have Wags pay for my bread with the bread they give me right. Well it went like this, the roll I have been doing all week was this,
1st transaction
Pur-Asborb @ $10.00 – $2.00/1 coupon and 1 Filler @ $0.29
paid with the $8.00 RR from the Blink and $0.29 to $0.30 and got back a $10.00 RR
2nd Transaction
1- Blink @ $8.00 – $1.00/1 coupon and 1- Saint Joe @ $2.00, I was getting 2- Chicken Broth @ 2/$1.00 and paying with the $10.00 RR from the Pur-Asborb and coming up with a $0.00 OOP which by the way is my Fav number. Then I would get back a $8.00 RR and a $2.00 RR, I would stash the $2.00 RR and use the $8.00 RR to start another set.
I was able to restock my Chicken Broth up to my 1 year level and before I stated getting the broth I was getting Diced Tomatoes and tomato paste as fillers so I was able to get my 1 year supply of both of them also. A tad bit more OOP but still under $0.10.
Well I needed Bread and wanted some popcorn so to Wags I went with a pocket full of RRs, I did the same 1st transaction but on the 2nd one I dropped the fillers and added 2 bread @ $2.39 and a pop corn @ $3.49 and of course I needed a filler which was the Diced Tomatoes. I planned on using some of the stack of $2.00 RRs I gad which I would need 4 of. Well I guess I did not pull my head out of my butt long enough to realize that in this same transaction I had the Saint Joes which provided the $2.00 RR is Was using along with the $10.00 Pur- Asborb RR. The Checker which new me well looked at the RRs and then looked at my like I had lost my mind. I looked down knowing something was up and realized what I was doing so I pulled them back and replaced them with one $8.00 RR from the Blink. DUH, I was getting the blink also. A couple quick slaps upside my head and I decided to just eat the loss of the $2.00 RR and put the 4 $2.00 RRs back down. The Checker asked “you don’t have a different RR in that stack to use?” I said I’ll eat it to get it done. The transaction came up to $0.02 which is what I had planned and I got both of my RRs. So the Saint Joes is a Rolling RR. The great thing about that is that the Saint Joes has the same deal next week. I would be careful though, these things can be corrected with a little programming and often are. Good Luck.
Just for the record I have been able to get my 1 year stock of Tomato Paste, Diced Tomatoes and Chicken Broth not to mention a Chocolate heart for every kid I have seen this week. With 18 months supply of Iron Supplement, enough low Dose Aspirin for 18 months for my Mother and eye drops for a good part of the nation for under $8.00 OOP.
Boy do I love Wags!!
Rebate MM 2/05 at Wags
Looks like we have a Money Maker the week of 2/05 at Walgreens, The sundown Vitamin D3 will be on sale for $4.00 (word is that it is ringing at that price now) and there is a $4.00 Rebate on the product in the February Coupon Booklet. Also if you click on the above picture you will find a $1.00/1 coupon on any Sundown Vitamin which makes it a Moneymaker. I’m not real familiar with the Walgreens Rebate Program but the way I understand it you can take the rebate on a Walgreens card and realize the profit right away. If I’m wrong on that I hope some one will leave a comment and correct me. This may be a good thing since it seems that Walgreens is back to the old pattern of providing deals and then for a couple of weeks give us a deal drought I believe to bleed all of the RRs out of us. This will be a good way to turn those RRs into a form with very few restrictions and no need for fillers. You then once the deals reappear turn the card back into RRs.
Thanks to Christie on
Walgreens week of 2/05 update
The match up for the week of 2/05 is coming along, I have updated the post which now includes all of the RR deals and a lot of the coupons. Click on the Wiz Wags banner to see the updates.
They are out there
Watch for those $4.00 Peelies on the blink product, they are out there although I have not found any yet. Thanks to Wild for Wags
Heads up MM ahead
The Tylenol Precise will be on sale for $5.00 with a $5.00 RR applied to it. Click on the Picture to get a $2.00/1 coupon before they disappear or click on the Coupon Carry out logo at the top left of Stl Coupon wizard and get your ordered before they are gone. You can also find a $2.00/1 coupon in the 9/11 SS.
Walgreens Heads up
The week of 2/05 the Colgate Total Toothpaste will be free after RRs again. The change is that the Spring issue of the Walgreens D&Y mag will not have the regular $1.00/1 coupon for this product in it. If you spot any of the Winter/Holiday issues grab it, I think that coupon will still be good when the sale starts.
Walgreens Plans
Haven’t picked out the hat for the evening but I have the coupons and a plan ready to go. See both KT’s and my plans for this week on Wiz Wags and then look for an update in the morning for anything I may find over night at Walgreens. Click on the Wiz Wags Banner below to see the entire match up for this week and our plans.
